The Directorate General Factory Advice Service & Labour Institutes (DGFASLI), Mumbai which is an attached office of the Ministry of labour & Employment, functions as a technical arm of the Ministry in regard to matters concerned with safety, health and welfare of workers in factories and ports / docks. We are in the process of getting ISO 9001:2008 Certification for the entire DGFASLI organization. For this, the following documents are to be prepared by firm / consultant / organization for certification of ISO 9001: 2008 to the satisfaction of the certifying agency 1. Preparation of Quality Policy. 2. Preparation of Quality Manual (based on ISO 9001: 2008). 3. Preparation of Quality Procedures. 4. Preparation of work instructions, records, formats in line with the activities of this organization and in accordance with provisions in the ISO 9001: 2008 standard. The details of organization structure and functions are enclosed as Annexure-I and more information can be obtained from the website The firms / consultants / organizations should meet the following minimum criteria: It is desirable that the Firm / Consultant should have executed minimum five (5) ISO 9001 projects in the government / PSU sector / large public limited organizations. The team leader of Consultant should have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in ISO 9001 consulting. The team members of the Consultant will be qualified lead assessors. In addition to the above, the consultant must be registered with the Quality Council of India (QCI).
